Checking the status of an Aruba access point

Please see below the status of your Aruba access point if you suspect issues are arising from an access point that may be malfunctioning or offline:

 

There is an LED on the Aruba AP as pictured below

LED status

 

Off means that the device is powered off

 

Solid green means that the device is ready, fully functional, no network restrictions

 

Blinking green means that the device is booting, not ready

 

Flashing green means that the device is ready, fully functional, either uplink negotiated in sub-optimal speed (< 1 Gb/s)

 

Solid amber means that the device is ready, restricted power mode (Limited PoE power available, or IPM restrictions applied), no network restrictions

 

Flashing amber means that the device is ready, restricted power mode (Limited PoE power available, or IPM restrictions applied), uplink negotiated in sub-optimal speed

 

Red means system error condition - Immediate attention required
