If your laptop has a privacy guard, please ensure that this isn't enabled. There is usually a sliding mechanism on the top of the lid of the laptop that slides a piece of plastic over the webcam, this is usally red or white in colour.
If you have eliminated this possibility, is the webcam active? Almost all laptops have an indicator LED near the webcam to show that it is in use, a good way to test this is to open the Start menu and type Camera and press enter.
If this LED light is lit and you cannot see yourself, please follow the steps below:
Go to the Start menu and type in Privacy settings and press enter.
In the menu on the left of that window that has just opened, click on Camera.
Make sure that the statement "Camera acess for this device is on" is shown above the "Change" button, if this is not enabled then please click on "Change" to switch it on.
Scroll further down this list, and ensure that "Allow apps to access your camera" is enabled and that the related application is enabled in the "Choose which Microsoft Store apps can access your camera" section of this window.
Scroll down a little further and ensure that "Allow desktop apps to access your camera" is enabled.
If the webcam still doesn't capture any video, please arrange a remote session with one of our technicians for further diagnosis, there may be a driver or hardware related fault.
